Yasir Hussain’s tasteless comment against Hania Aamir leaves people fuming

It seems Yasir Hussain really didn’t learn anything from the last snafu pertaining to his transphobic comments.

The actor has an uneasy history of making inappropriate comments – case in point: Hum Awards’ child sexual abuse comment and his recent mockery of transgenders.

However, from the looks of it, Hussain doesn’t really seem to stop irking people.

Yasir Hussain and the career-ending blunder

In a recent occurrence, the Naach Naa Jaanay actor made a crass comment on fellow colleague Hania Aamir who spoke up about her struggle with acne and anxiety in a brave post.

During a Q&A with the fans, Hussain took to Instagram to respond when a fan asked him to share his thoughts about the Janaan star.

Danedaar,” Hussain wrote, all the while tagging Aamir in the post.

While many wondered if the Lahore Se Aagay actor meant it as a light-hearted comment or just plain insensitive, Aamir wasn’t really amused.

Maaf kijiyega mere dost ko. Inko aaj kal inappropriate jokes marne ki adat si hogai hai,” which translates to, “Please excuse my friend. He’s somewhat habitual of making inappropriate comments.”

Hussain, however, didn’t really get the hint.

He further commented on Aamir’s post and wrote, “Bus dost keh dia, isi liye likha tha. Joke nahi tha, Acne ko Urdu me dana kehty hain burger (You called me your friend, that’s why I wrote this. It wasn’t a joke. That’s what you call acne in Urdu, burger [slang for elite])”

The Parwaaz Hai Junoon star then took to Instagram to share her two cents on the matter.

“We brush off insecurities and people pointing them out like it’s no big deal but knowing it’s someone’s insecurity and still making fun of it is the worst thing you can do,” she penned. “It is wrong on so many levels!”

Aamir continued, “It’s high time people realise it is not okay to make jokes out of other people’s insecurities. It’s disgusting and not funny at all. Humour is great but be careful with it. Don’t try and act cool about making someone feel bad about what they might consider a flaw. It’s disrespectful. Not funny.”

She concluded with, “Degrading is not funny. I’m not laughing. Nobody is.”

And Twitter seems to agree with the starlet.

Hania Aamir just made a post recently about her acne and how she’s embracing it although it does make her feel insecure but Yasir Hussain just casually called her “Danedar” to which she sarcastically replied and hinted she didn’t like this but no, Yasir Hussain is just too stupid

Not that I care that Yasir Hussain is trending but my 2cents on this issue is: Overrated actor with the lamest sense of humour. You can get away with inappropriate jokes once/twice but after that you are just an insensitive moron

Yasir Hussain is hands down the dumbest pakistani celebrity. The time he posted that essay before elections was a hint and now its been proven.

Why is yasir hussain still relevant, why hasn’t he been cancelled yet? Look at how ruthlessly James Charles is being cancelled, why is this piece of shit still so blatantly being his absolute worst without any consequences??

It’s 2019. Are we still making comments about people’s insecurities and something they consider flaws? We hope to see a time where we can expect a better narrative from celebrities and personalities in a position and platform provided to very few.
